Education & Training

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwest Nazarene University in 2007 and my Master of Science in Clinical Counseling at Northwest Nazarene University in 2011. Since that time, I have been trained in EMDR through HAP (Humanitarian Assistance Programs). I am certified to utilize Symbis assessments as an aid for pre-marital and marriage counseling. I am also an endorsed clinical supervisor for the State of Idaho.

I am licensed to practice in Idaho (LCPC) and Washington (LMHC).

Theoretical Orientation & Approach

My clinical experience spans over ten years and involves a wide variety of clinical issues and clients. I utilize a variety of therapy techniques and theories to make sure that the client's needs are being met with the best fit. These have included Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Art therapy.

My specialties include autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationships, mood disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, domestic violence, abuse, childhood trauma, schizophrenia, PTSD, attachment issues, and addressing healthy boundaries.

I believe that every person is capable of making the change they desire if they invest in doing so. I also strongly believe in using encouragement and hope-building with all my clients as part of my therapy style, which my previous clients have reported as being helpful and meaningful. I do truly enjoy counseling and want to help each of my clients leave my sessions with increased self-confidence, self-awareness, self-acceptance, and hope.
