FAQS

WHY ONLINE THERAPY?

Our practice has offered online therapy since 2018. We have a deep understanding of how to practice  online therapy meaningfully and effectively, to the benefit of our clients. Online therapy has many added benefits, namely the ability to access treatment at your convenience, cut out travel time, time off work, and ultimately expense. Whether you desire convenience, privacy, the comfort of your own home, connecting without travel barriers, or feel uncomfortable or marginalized in the traditional counseling setting, our practice was built with you in mind.

DO YOU OFFER IN-OFFICE SESSIONS?

Yes! While we specialize in effective online therapy, we also offer in-office sessions in Meridian, Idaho and Broomfield, Colorado.

WHAT ARE THE TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS FOR ONLINE THERAPY?

You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera, microphone, a stable internet or cell network connection, and a safe, private space to conduct your sessions. Internet speeds of 1.5 Mbps and cell service connections of 4G and greater are typically sufficient. You can check your internet speed for free at fast.com.

WHAT ARE YOUR SPECIALTIES?

Aside from specializing in effective online therapy, our clinicians have many of their own individual specialties. Some of these are: neurodiversity, autism, ADHD, ENM/CNM in relationships, LGBTQIA+, anxiety, trauma, women's issues (including postpartum struggles), couples, parenting, and more. Please refer to our individual clinicians' pages for more information about each of their specialties.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

We are in-network with many commercial insurance carriers. This varies from state to state. If we are not in-network with your plan, we can provide you with a bill to submit to your insurance company; in most cases, your insurance company will reimburse you for at least a part of our services. We are not in-network with Medicaid or Medicare.

WILL MY INSURANCE COVER  ONLINE THERAPY?

We have been billing insurance for online therapy since 2018. While there are specific plans that may not cover telehealth, due to the covid-19 pandemic, those plans have become very few. Most plans cover telehealth at the same rate as in-office healthcare services. Call our office and we will look up your insurance benefits. In most cases, we can provide you with an accurate estimate of your out-of-pocket costs. You can also call the number on the back of your insurance card for benefit info.

WHO DO YOU TREAT?

We treat individuals, couples, and families located anywhere in Idaho, Colorado, Washington, and outside of the USA. For online therapy sessions, we have a minimum client age of 12 years old--younger children are typically best served by an in-office setting.

HOW DO I KNOW IF YOU ARE THE RIGHT THERAPIST FOR ME?

Finding the right therapist for you is very important. If, at any point in your therapy, you or your clinician feels that you would be better served by another therapist, we will work to find you referrals to one who meets your needs. It's important to us that you get great therapy, even if you get it somewhere else.

HOW LONG IS EACH THERAPY SESSION?

The initial intake session lasts 60 minutes. Subsequent sessions typically last between 45-60 minutes, depending on the needs of the client.

HOW DO I GET SCHEDULED?

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
